Tara Mullan – Lead Designer

​

Tara began her marine career aboard small passenger vessels navigating Alaska’s Inside Passage, San Francisco’s Wine Country, and Mexico’s Sea of Cortez. A decade later, she transitioned into marine transit with Washington State Ferries, where she managed concession and vendor operations and contributed to multiple galley renovations and seven new vessel builds—collaborating closely with shipyard inspectors and construction teams.

With hands-on experience across both hospitality and transit operations, Tara brings a deep understanding of passenger vessel interiors and the regulatory standards that govern them. Her training at the Interior Design Institute, paired with years of real-world experience, informs her practical, problem-solving approach to design—creating functional, safe, and welcoming spaces for vessel owners and operators alike.
